Michael Cheney had a one-person show in September, 2017

Michael Cheney unveiled new paintings, drawings and limited edition giclées at the famous Michigan Avenue gallery.

The paintings are part of City Muse 2017, a major one-person show celebrating the modern urban environment.  It is a collection of genre paintings in Cheney’s unique Postmodern Impressionist style recording the contemporary city in the new millennium.

Oprah Winfrey becomes a Cheney collector

Approaching the Palace Theatre was added to her art collection (left). Other prominent Chicagoans who collect Cheney include Vince Vaughn, the late Paul Harvey, the Johnson Family (founders of BET), WGNs Rich King, Stanley Kusper (former Clerk of Cook County) and the Goodman family (of the Goodman Theatre).
